University students from across Abu Dhabi joined the STEM Hackathon 2025 at NYU Abu Dhabi, developing innovative solutions linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Co-organized by the UAE Chapter of the American Chemical Society and the Center for Smart Engineering Materials, the event promoted collaboration, creativity and problem-solving
The full-day interdisciplinary event brought together students from the United Arab Emirates University, Abu Dhabi University, Khalifa University and NYU Abu Dhabi. Working in teams of three or four, participants developed innovative solutions to real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Students presented their ideas to a judging panel representing Abu Dhabi University, NYU Abu Dhabi and Khalifa University. The hackathon encouraged creativity, teamwork and practical thinking while highlighting the important role of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in addressing global challenges.

Organizers congratulated the participants, judges and winning teams for contributing to the event’s success.
