Prof. Ihsan A. Shehadi is a distinguished academic specializing in Physical Chemistry, boasting a Bachelor's degree from the American University of Beirut and a Ph.D. from Northeastern University. His impressive career began as a research scientist at Northeastern and has since led him to reputable positions, notably within the Department of Chemistry at UAEU and the University of Sharjah. He has held significant roles, including Chairman of the Department of Chemistry (2014-2018), Chairman of Academic Accreditation (2016-2017), and currently serves as Vice Dean of the College of Sciences. An accomplished researcher, Prof. Shehadi has authored over 80 peer-reviewed papers and earned acclaim in areas such as physical chemistry, computational chemistry, chemical education, and heterogeneous catalysis. His recent work focuses on leveraging computational and experimental methodologies to identify innovative enzyme inhibitors and biosensors. In addition to authoring a textbook and editing five others, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership by organizing numerous international conferences. With a strong commitment to nurturing talent, he has successfully supervised over 10 MSc. students and secured multiple research grants. His scholarly impact is underscored by an h-index of 25, highlighting his dedication to research excellence. Prof. Shehadi is also actively involved in various editorial boards, research groups, and organizations, further showcasing his expertise and networking prowess."
